What We Believe

We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God.

We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that God created the heavens and earth from nothing.

We believe man was created in the image and likeness of God with the ability to choose good or evil. Adam chose to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in direct rebellion against what God had instructed. As a result of his decision sin entered the world and with it, death.

We believe Adam’s sin which separated him from God was imputed to all people born thereafter. All men are sinners and separated from God from birth. Man is spiritually dead and in need of regeneration referred to as justification or being "born again."

We believe Jesus left the glory of heaven to come to earth and be the substitutionary atonement for the sin of mankind. Salvation is an instantaneous act of God in which He considers the sin of the person forgiven, imputes the righteousness of Christ to the person’s account, and declares the person righteous in Christ.  This gift of salvation is received by faith in Christ alone and not through any works we do.

We believe when a person is truly born again God sends the Holy Spirit as a guarantee that what He started He will bring to fruition and adopts the person into the family of God.

We believe God works in the life of the believer in order to conform the believer to the image of Christ. The believer goes from one level of glory to the next which is sometimes referred to as sanctification. The final stage of the salvation process is glorification when the believer will be absent from the body and present with the Lord.

We believe the Rapture of the Church is the next item on God’s agenda and will precede a time of tribulation which will end with the Second Coming of Christ. At that time He will usher in a 1000 year period of time known as the Millennium. It is during this time period when God will fulfill His promises to Israel.

We believe there will be a resurrection of life for the believer and a resurrection of judgment for the unbeliever. The final destiny of the believer is the New Jerusalem and the final destiny for the unbeliever is the lake of fire.
